Race Recaps from Inner Lane Athletes

  • "After a tough DNF at this race last year, my goal this time was simple: cross the finish line and have fun. Despite some tough mental and physical challenges along the way, the race felt incredibly joyful—because I knew how much hard work had gone into getting to that start line, and how much more growth lies ahead. I’m especially grateful to the friends, training partners, and coaches who supported me through the highs and lows."

  • "I ran with joy! Not since Tokyo 2024 have I had this feeling and it was great to be back. Working with Marina has been the best investment in my running. I was prepared and confident. Following some of the lessons we applied during our long runs and track workouts, we started picking up the pace after the halfway point and when we got to mile 9, decided we would start pushing the pace with some 5 minute tempo intervals. I wanted to get uncomfortable and it worked. Our last three miles were sub 10! What a way to go into the summer season, ready to take on Toronto and Valencia!"

    Josefa

  • "I was a little worried about achieving my goal for this race with the warmer temps and having run a half 2 weeks prior, but coach Abi never lost faith in me. Her support, as well as the rest of the Inner Lane crew, pushed me to the finish and another PR! Can’t wait to see what’s next!"

    Alexander

  • "Racing is not just about hitting a PR; it is about enjoying the process. This is the first time I truly go into a race without personal time goals and it feels really good!"

    Gael

  • "To coach Abbie, thank you for being my coach, teammate, and one of my best friends, thank you for pushing me when I needed it, talking me through tough moments, and most of all helping me gain so much confidence in myself. This race was not about getting a PR, I wanted to have a blast - I am so lucky and grateful to get to experience and do insanely cool things, but crossing that finish line to Abbie’s “RUFKM” text? Pretty surreal. This year has been incredible and it’s just the beginning – Abbie and Inner Lane, I’m beyond stoked for the next adventure – let’s let it rip!!"
